Episode 76: In AWE of Valerie Lewis-Voices Series
Valerie Lewis has been an educator for 20 years across three states, serving in both public and private sectors in the elementary and high school levels. She is currently an administrator for a large high school in Georgia. She is involved in advocacy in her community as well as in education, engaging in the ISTE Digital Equity professional learning community. Valerie is dedicated to learning through experiences and engaging activities. Learning must make an impact. Her belief is that critical learning possibilities should be activated NOW so students are future-ready. Valerie is an encourager and motivator and has the mentality that the team is better together. Learning is a journey that ultimately transforms.
In this episode, we hear Valerie’s voice come through for us around topics of community activism, leadership beyond titles, and we engage in a timely and brave conversation around the work behind engaging around racial injustice and leading toward equality in our schools. I am inspired deeply by Valerie and the leadership she provides to her community, to her school, our professional learning network, and to the education profession. It is a great honor to share with you Valerie Lewis’s Leading Loud Voice.
