Jennifer Hogan has always had a passion for helping others. She has over 20 years experience as an educator, and she is currently an Assistant Principal at Hoover High School in Alabama. She has experience at the high school level as a science teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal. In her various professional roles, she has stressed the importance of creating an engaging learning environment through relationships and respect, high expectations, and student voice.
Jennifer was named the 2018 Alabama Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year and was selected as one of three finalists for NASSP 2018 National Assistant Principal of the Year. Jennifer is a valuable resource for educators across the globe as a presenter, mentor, and via her professional blog, http://thecompellededucator.com. As a digital and connected leader, she is the co-founder of Alabama Education Chat (#ALedchat) and the quarterly United States Education Chat (#USedchat) on Twitter, she leads a voxer group for Women in Educational Leadership, and she is a co-creator of the Compelled Tribe, a blogging community for educators.
